Becoming a Client
The Law Office of Edwin M. "Sandy" Hardy is a small, client-oriented operation. Therefore, if you or your business is being harassed by bill collectors or creditors, you should feel free to contact the office at any time, but please do so as soon as possible.
The initial call
Your first call to Attorney Hardy will involve answering some basic questions with the friendly, courteous staff.
Attorney Hardy can call and give you a free evaluation over the phone after your first call to us. You can also choose a free, in-person consultation with Attorney Hardy.
Please bring the following documents, if you have them, with you to your initial consultation:
- A list and copies of ALL of your bills;
- Any tax statements;
- Student Loan Statements;
- W-2's or tax returns from the past three years;
- Pay stubs from the current year;
- Any correspondence from creditors;
- Bank statements;
- W-2's from past years and pay stubs from this year;
- Proof of assets (titles, deeds, pink slips);
- Any court documents that have been mailed or served;
- Any documentation of inheritance that they are due to receive;
- Any other relevant financial information or documentation.
During this consultation, you will meet with Attorney Hardy, and he will explain to you how these types of bankruptcy cases are handled and also the nature of the law pertaining to your situation. You will have your questions answered and you'll be given an honest opinion as to the direction you need to take regarding your financial situation.
This initial consultation is free of charge, and you are not bound to anything until you feel that you are ready for Attorney Hardy to protect your rights and fight for you. Should you feel that the Law Offices of Attorney Edwin M. "Sandy" Hardy is the proper firm to handle your situation, you will sign an agreement naming Attorney Hardy as your legal representative.
Once the agreement is signed, you will not have to deal with any creditors or bill collectors that may or may not have something to do with your case. The firm will take care of this, so all you will need to do is concentrate on taking care of yourself and your family. The legal issues will be someone else's problem.
